This week, the Linux community is celebrating the homecoming of Android. Linux father Torvalds has embraced the lost son that went astray a couple years ago, and re-united Android with the core Linux code base. This, of course, is good news for both sides, as the highly successful Android spreads its popularity to Linux in general and advances in the Linux kernel are propagated more quickly to Android systems.
